Click for information on the data A Margins Notice (MN) is issued via the ANS if forecast demand at the Day Ahead stage exceeds the Margins Notice Trigger level, a predetermined level of expected available supply. The Margins Notice is intended to notify market participants of a potential supply/demand imbalance for the next gas day. An ANS is also sent when forecast demand for the next gas day is higher than 95% of Margins Notice Trigger to indicate potential tightening conditions. A Gas Balancing Notification is issued if National Grid believe an additional market response is required to address a more serious actual or potential physical imbalance which hasn't been resolved by market mechanism to date.
